Q: Are all of your programs run by the Leu?

A: No. While we offer a wide variety of programs, we also rent out our building to many different programs. We have hosted events such as a circus, wrestling, and much more. Building rental information is available HERE.

Q: Do you only offer homeschool classes?

A: No. While homeschool enrichment classes are a huge part of what we do, we also have some amazing programs for all ages. Our evening programming includes things like Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Zumba, Yoga, and Chess Club to name a few. There are also plenty of special events and summer camps.

Q: Are your programs only open to members?

A: No. While our homeschool and evening programs are only available to members, we have some events and camps that are available to all. A Leu membership is still a great value and allows you to participate in more.

Q: What benefits do Leu members get?

A: Leu members will gain access to some areas of the building during open hours, and our homeschool and evening programs. Membership also offers reduced fees for rentals and some programs, as well as the use of our education resource library, and free special needs/IEP consultations.

Q: How do I become a member?

A: To become a member, you can purchase your membership here. There are options for families and for individuals.

Q: What if I can’t afford a membership or class?

A: We want everyone to be able to participate at the Leu. If money is an issue, fill out our scholarship form. If you have questions or concerns, contact us at any time.

Q: How do I become an instructor at the Leu?

A: If you’re interested in applying to become an instructor, fill out our instructor application. One of our staff members will contact you to discuss your application.

Q: My child is special needs, can we still participate in classes?

A: Yes. We strive for our programs to be accessible to all. If you’re unsure if your child will thrive in our classes, feel free to contact us.

Q: How can I support the Leu?

A: Donations can be sent to the Leu or United Way through our website. We also accept some item donations, please contact us to see what our needs are.

Q: Will you accept cash or check as payment?

A: Unfortunately We are no longer accepting in person payment for programs at the Leu. We are happy to walk you through how to make payments on our website.

Q: Will I be refunded if I can’t make it to a program?

A: We are happy to refund you anytime before signups close. However, once signups have closed for programs, we are no longer able to offer refunds. You can read the whole policy here.

Q: Are Leu employees city employees?

A: No. While we are so grateful to the city of Mascoutah for all of the support they give us, we are not city employees or a city organization. We are our own nonprofit, but we could not function without the city’s help.
