Drama Club

Drama Club is changing things up this time around and by signing up you are committing to the full school year. We will be meeting weekly on Thursdays from 1-3 with a Workshop/performance at the beginning of November and our end of year performance in May. (all dates listed below)

Our November workshop is not mandatory but highly encouraged and will be a lot of fun. Our end of year performance is mandatory so by signing up you are committing to be available May 6-10th. You will also have the option, after sign ups, of participating in Friday only performances (cast A) Saturday only performances (cast B) or both (getting rolls in both cast A and cast B)

We will start our meetups on September 5th and will also be having a MANDATORY Parent meeting for the first 15 minutes of class. Even returning parents need to be here so we can talk about all the things that are changing this year. Here I will go into more details about all I listed above.We will have a max of 35 kids (ages 10-18) again this year with 8-10 of those kids needing to be solely on our prop/tech team. If your child is wanting to act please select Acting during signup if your child has no interest in acting then make sure to select Prop/Tech Only during signup. There will be lots of opportunities for those who want to do both to help with props and sets, I just need to have a head count of each group leading into the semester.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Before you sign your child up for this program make sure that they are committed to working toward making our performances a success. While there will be plenty of time for socializing, this is not a socializing club. If the only intent for your child is to hang out with their friends and not participate in the work that is required then you are taking a spot from a child who truly wants to be here and participate. Please discuss this with your students before committing to this school year.
